Prison Volunteer Program
The Lebanon Correctional Institution: The Dharma Center has participated in the prison program at the Lebanon Correctional Institution (LCI) in Lebanon, Ohio for many years. Each Wednesday evening at 6pm volunteers from the Dharma Center and the Zen Center of Cincinnati go to the prison to lead a practice session with interested inmates. Books on Buddhist texts and current Buddhism thought are provided, studied and discussed.
The program is coordinated through the Religion Department at LCI. If interested in joining the volunteers, please contact Kevin Celarek at (513) 382-9862.
